The state government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is making continuous efforts for the welfare of the SC Commission in Punjab. The Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities had previously invited applications for the recruitment of Chairman of the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission until October 03 . Now, the application deadline has been extended until October 31.
Divulging in this regard, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that the Punjab Government needs to appoint the Chairman of the State Scheduled Castes Commission to ensure the effective implementation of welfare schemes for the Scheduled Castes allowing those in need to benefit.

SC Commission: last date for submission of applications is October 31
The Cabinet Minister said that the applicant should be a retired officer of the Punjab State Government belonging to a Scheduled Caste should not below the rank of Principal Secretary. Applicant age should not be more than 65 years can apply for this post.
Dr. Baljit Kaur added that interested candidates can submit their applications to the office of the Director, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Department at SCO No: 7, Phase-1, SAS Nagar Mohali untill October 31, 2023.
