State government banned 10 Insecticides

You are eating pesticides instead of rice which is part of your daily diet. The pesticides used unknowingly by the farmers of Punjab are not able to come out of the rice grains., due to which they are reaching your body through rice and causing harm. In view of the effect of these pesticides, 10 Insecticides have been banned by the state government and this ban has been imposed for 6 months from 1st August. Along with using these insecticides in the state, selling it will also come under the ban, due to which if any shopkeeper or distributors are seen sending them, then action will be taken against them by the government of punjab.

List of 10 harmful Insecticide released
The gazette notification issued by the state of Punjab, states that the sale of around 10 Insecticides is not in the interest of Basmati rice growers in Punjab as these pesticides are reaching the rice grain. The Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana has again recommended alternative agrochemicals to control pests of basmati rice in the state. Here, the Punjab Rice Millers and Exporters Association has also told that the residual value of these pesticides in the new samples tested by them is much higher than the MRL of Basmati rice. It has also requested to ban these agricultural Insecticides to ensure the upcoming hassle free export of basmati rice to the countries.
All these things, the following 10 Insecticides have been banned by the state of Punjab initially for 6 months.
